Barb Buchmayer
Flirt Pole Fun!
Barb Buchmayer began her journey in the dog world by raising a puppy for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. While working full-time as a dairy farmer, she obtained her first border collie and never looked back. Initially using traditional herding methods, Barb later developed a groundbreaking positive approach, detailed in her books Positive Herding 101 and Positive Herding 201.
Exercises from these books evolved into unique games designed to enrich the lives of dogs and puppies, culminating in her award-winning book Enrichment Games for High-Energy Dogs, which earned the prestigious Maxwell Medal from the Dog Writers Association of America.
Barb and her husband continue to farm part-time and share their lives with Sir, their enthusiastic border collie affectionately known as their "psycho" companion.
